Insecure Writer's Support Group Post Day - We Are Here to Help!

It’s time for another group posting of the Insecure Writer’s Support Group! Time to release our fears to the world – or offer encouragement to those who are feeling neurotic. If you’d like to join us, click on the tab above and sign up. We post the first Wednesday of every month. I encourage everyone to visit at least a dozen new blogs and leave a comment. Your words might be the encouragement someone needs.

The awesome co-hosts today are Sheena-kay Graham, Julie Musil, Jamie Ayres, and Mike Swift. Please be sure to thank them for their time and effort to make all IWSG members feel welcome.

Don’t forget we have an awesome Facebook Group.

Every writer is at a different stage of the journey and no two paths are identical. We do have a few things in common though – we all fight insecurity and we all need support. We’re looking for guidance, encouragement, and answers to our questions. We can find all of that here online, through the IWSG postings, the Facebook group, and the resources on this website.

If you need assistance, just ask! Need a critique partner? Ask for one during the monthly posting, here anytime, or in the Facebook group. Need some promotional tips? Check out the marketing page here or ask any of the awesome writers in the group. No question is too dumb. (Trust me!) If there is anything we can do to help, let us know!

What do you need help with today?

I read "need a critique partner? Just ask" and was like, duh, why was I so worried about needing someone to look at my WIP once I'm finished? There's always someone willing to help in this rocking community. Thanks for reminding me!

So true! This community does ROCK. We are all here to help each other in times of need. Even if it's just some positive words of encouragement.

What a wonderful idea! I just went to the Facebook page and liked it. You know, there ought to be an Insecure _____ Group for EVERYTHING in the world, it would really make life better. Thanks for what you do. :)

You guys are why I started this group!

Glad to be part of the group. Thank you, Alex! I just published my first post.

What do I need help with? It would be great to have more reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. If anyone here is interested in reading poetry and essays or short children's stories -- these are all eBooks -- it would be great if they could get in touch with me. Thanks!

We all need encouragement. We need someone to tell us, stop, take a deep breath, now think. What's your next step. Break into smaller steps.

When the words don't come or the project is in little bitty pieces and we're feeling like a fraud, we need someone to say, hey, I've been there. You can do it and do you need any help?

Regardless of how long we've been this road the turns and laybyes are the same for us all. We just hit them differently.

I'm so glad I joined this group and am so glad to feel welcomed. I struggle to over my insecurities by trying harder and trying new things. I'm trying to host my first blog hop and am terrified of how it will turn out, but at least I’m doing it. Thank you Alex and IWSG for being so supportive.

I've met so many great people on this group. I feel like their friends as much as writing fellows.

I need help with co-hosting, lol. Now I really don't know how Alex does this! Talk about exhausting, lol. I'd have to quit my day job to keep up with him, and I'd still fall short. Anyway, thanks for the honor of serving with you :-)

I thought my internet would be off again today (between Saturday when a vandal cut our cable line, which didn't get fixed until Monday, and turning it off again here and on again at another house while we move), but not yet. This group is great. Last month I found a couple of book blogger directories on one of your pages to add myself to. Since then I've gotten some very cool sounding author requests. Can't write well without reading!

I love this group so much. Before I found IWSG I used to feel like I was the only writer with insecurities!

Sitties, I'm sure you will find someone. There are a lot of people who write in those genres on the list. And the person below already volunteered.

Haneen, glad you joined us!

Julie, thanks for co-hosting. You rock.

Jamie, that made me laugh!

Sher, that's awesome!

You guys rock!
