A to Z Challenge - Q is for Quotes

Here are 5 inspirational writing quotes to start your day.

One must be drenched in words, literally soaked in them, to have the right ones form themselves into the proper patterns at the right moment.  Hart Crane

Today’s tangents will become tomorrow’s arcs, and unforeseen connections will tie up your loose ends in a way that will make you want to slap your head and holler at your accidental brilliance.
Chris Baty

Always carry a notebook. And I mean always. The short-term memory only retains information for three minutes; unless it is committed to paper you can lose an idea forever.
Will Self

Ink on paper is as beautiful to me as flowers on the mountains; God composes, why shouldn’t we?
Terri Guillemets

You’ll have days of complete lack of faith in your abilities. But you have to keep coming back. That’s when you know you’re a writer – when you take the failures and appear at the desk again, over and over again.
Markus Zusak

That is why I always write things down. If I can commit it to paper, I will remember.

Wonderful quotes.
I don't carry a notebook, but I have my phone and can make notes on that. Sometimes I don't even though I know I should because I will forget.

Those failed days are the hardest. I wonder if they come on more frequently the more you write? I think so.

Hi Michelle - I end up with so much that I can't keep up .. so I'm about to declutter my paper and my computer is solid with the stuff .. I can't remember it all or know where to look ..

I must find a way of dealing with the present and remembering it and using it at that stage - not holding things for every to gather paper mites?!!

Cheers and I love reading others' quotes ... Hilary

I really love that last one. Whenever I feel like quitting, I ask myself, what else would I do? I'm a happier person when I write, so I can't not do it. Whether or not I ever "succeed" in sales, I will keep on because that's who I am.

Great quotes and for me Will Self is so right write. My notebooks go most places... but not the shower. When I haven't even got a napkin, I create a mnemonic to remember.
