IWSG And The Many Happenings!

Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!

Posting: The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer - aim for a dozen new people each time - and return comments. This group is all about connecting!

February 7 optional question - What do you love about the genre you write in most often?

The wonderful co-hosts for the February 7 posting of the IWSG are Stephen Tremp, Pat Garcia, Angela Wooldridge, Victoria Marie Lees, and Madeline Mora-Summonte!

The second #IWSGPIT was a huge success. #IWSGPIT became a trending topic throughout the day and we more than doubled the participation of the first one. 5100 tweets!

We'd like to thank everyone for making it our best pitch so far. Keep polishing those pitches for our next one in July!

I'm hoping to have a pitch for the first book in my new series ready by July, but I'll have to write fast. Lots of great stuff here.

I'm giving a talk to a large group of writers next week, and my number one piece of advice to them is join the IWSG. The anthologies (great cover, BTW), the Twitter pitches, and all the rest (plus the lack of snark) make this the best group for writers I know. Very cool to see my quote there!

A lot always beats a little, mostly. Was fun to put it all as one.

Trying to get back into the swing of things and contribute to the IWSG monthly blog. Perhaps this means that I will also begin to write more in my personal life, since it's never too late for new beginnings! http://www.dianeweidenbenner.com/iwsg-what-do-you-love-about-the-genre-you-write-in-most-often/

Hi Joylene, I really need to get involved with this Facebook group. I post here and there but need to be more consistent.

Here's to a healthy ad prosperous 2018!

Hi Pat - it's always good to read the comments of blogging friends and ISWG pals ... the pitch sounds like it was good, while the anthology looks to be fascinating - cheers Hilary

I'm starting to consider writing an eBook but it won't be fictional for sure. Something about my journey of finding love perhaps as it's a long and crazy road.

Sounds as though there's a lot going on in that anthology!
