Welcome to the start of another month and with it a chance to let your insecurities fly free.
The awesome co-hosts for the July 3 posting of the IWSG are Nicki Elson, Juneta Key, Tamara Narayan, and Patricia Lynne!
Find all the details here. Lots of time left to get those pitches just right for the over 1000 agents and publishers watching.
Will you be one of the over 5000 tweets, or more, for #IWSGPit like last time?
Will you be one of the over 5000 tweets, or more, for #IWSGPit like last time?
That also leads into the optional question for the month.
What are your ultimate writing goals, and how have they changed over time (if at all)?
Time is constant change. It can bring more or less. Goals can align or be completely upended. But there is always a chance for more. For instance.
The genre is young adult romance and the theme will be announced September 5th.
Now it is time to let your insecurities flow for another month. Let us know in whatever way you choose. We are here to leave you secure in the knowledge that your insecurities can be shared with our expanding community.
Gosh, I just might be the first to comment on Alex's post!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your reminder about time and constant change. I wrote a post about major change in my life and my insecurities are flowing! LOL
So agree with you that time is constant change, Pat. It's a lesson I am learning all the time and one that is hard for me.
ReplyDeleteSounds like an awesome new anthology is coming!
Writers, start your engines and get those pitches ready!
ReplyDeleteChange is inevitable and mostly good so I'm okay with changing goals along with a changing life :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe we're already halfway through the year. I am where I wanted to be. Which is a huge surprise to me.
ReplyDeleteDLP will be watching the feed.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to decide whether to pitch or not. I will spread the word.
ReplyDelete*Bows and nods head Respectfully.* Most wise Ninja Alex-san change is universal and cannot be avoided. I shall keep watch for the announcement. ROLFL@Self
ReplyDeleteHappy IWSG Day!
My goalposts seem to move every month = unlikely to have much to show anyone for months to come. I'm just preparing for 4+ weeks of having stepkids living with us soon.
ReplyDeleteMy writing goals are simple. I just would like to continue blogging.
ReplyDeleteThe friendships here are wonderful.
Yvonne.
This is a lovely question you have asked. Lets see if I stumble on some answers in the course of my writing.
ReplyDeleteThe best part of this month's optional question is the number of debut authors I've come across while blog hopping! Love that.
ReplyDeleteI can remember last years IWSGPit... seems like yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThere are some interesting posts based on the question of the month.
Hi Pat - lots of great ideas, bloggers and authors through these 'get togethers' ... I'm sure the pitch will work out so well - cheers and good luck everyone - Hilary
ReplyDeleteHi, Pat! Thanks for all the useful information! No pitching for me ~ I'll be somewhere in Nova Scotia, exact spot unknown, on July 19th. And somewhere, possibly France, on September 5th. The thought of writing young adult romance is terrifying ~ LOL! After almost 100 days at home I am ready to FLY!!! And I'll be in a number of places with no internet access.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to all who are participating this summer!
ReplyDelete'Time is constant change' That's very true!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder about #ISWGPit. Crafting my pitch now.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to decide whether to pitch or not. I will spread the word.
