It’s time for another group posting of the Insecure Writer’s Support Group! Time to release our fears to the world – or offer encouragement to those who are feeling neurotic. If you’d like to join us, click on the tab above and sign up. We post the first Wednesday of every month. I encourage everyone to visit at least a dozen new blogs and leave a comment. Your words might be the encouragement someone needs.
Our awesome co-hosts today are M. Pax, Tracy Jo, Patricia Lynne, Rachna Chhabria, Feather Stone, and Randi Lee!
We are filling our schedule for the summer with posts every Monday, many from industry professionals, and we hope you’ll stop by for the great information and tips.
We are also adding new things to the site. The Publications page now includes conferences, conventions, workshops, festivals, retreats, and seminars, broken down by month. Keep checking back as new things are added every week!
For those of you who are new to the IWSG website, be sure to pick up your free copy of The Insecure Writer’s Support Group’s Guide to Publishing and Beyond . Hundreds of great articles from those who have been there, done that.
We have other things in the hopper as well – contests, books, and maybe even an IWSG t-shirt.
Our goal is to be the best writer and author resource on the Internet – we want to help you on your journey!
Fighting any insecurity today? Fired up by the changes and upcoming events?
Great additions indeed, and tips are always nice to see
ReplyDeleteWonderful! It's a great resource, Alex.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Love this group. :)
ReplyDeleteI would love a t-shirt.
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all you do. This is a fantastic group.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a tshirt person... but a sticker that I can add to the front of my laptop would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteI highly recommend the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers Conference September 11-13 in Westminster, CO (near Denver) for your conference listings. Jeffrey Deaver and Desiree Holt are keynote speakers this year. You can find all the information on attending agents and editors, master classes, sessions, etc. at http://rmfw.org/conference/
ReplyDeleteThere are lots of exciting things going on. I do want a t-shirt.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't find a publications page until I clicked the link...oops, I didn't read to the end of the list. That etc. got me. I'd love to see Susan Kaye Quinn's Indie Author Survival Guide on the list. She's a real rocket scientist-- or was until she became so successful. Now she writes full time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestions and glad everyone is excited!
ReplyDeleteLots of exciting things in the pipeline!
ReplyDeleteT-shirt? Yes, please!
Thanks for the reminder about the guide--I just downloaded a copy. What a wonderful group!
ReplyDeleteYou're a gift, Alex. Thanks for all you do to help.
ReplyDeleteYou guys continue to impress! Wow! I'm excited about the new changes.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I missed it, but how does one add writing conferences/workshops to that page? I know some great ones to recommend.
Fantastic! Looking forward to all the new additions, Alex!
ReplyDeleteHey Alex, dude!,
ReplyDeleteNow you have my undivided attention. A possible "I Was Seeking Gary" t-shirt. Bring it on!
Changes are good as a rest, so I've been told. Not insecure, just discreetly in the background cheering all of you on.
Gary
I am grateful for the info. I haven't been on here in quite some time. To come back to all the helpful articles is wonderful. Thanks
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to everything you have planned.
ReplyDeleteCool changes. You guys are doing so much good for the writing world. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteGreat thoughts.... :)
ReplyDeleteRegards P A
I enjoy reading the posts here and on other writers' blogs.
ReplyDeleteThe last few days, I'm more insecure than person. Received a personalized rejection on a request, and I'm not sure what to do next.
The Lighthouse LitFest in Denver starts next week, and they still have session spots available: https://lighthousewriters.org/
ReplyDeletePatricia I am going to RMFWC this year! So excited :)
