It’s time for another group posting of the Insecure Writer’s Support Group! Time to release our fears to the world – or offer encouragement to those who are feeling neurotic. If you’d like to join us, click on the tab above and sign up. We post the first Wednesday of every month. I encourage everyone to visit at least a dozen new blogs and leave a comment. Your words might be the encouragement someone needs.
The awesome co-hosts for the November 1 posting of the IWSG are PJ Colando, Jean Davis, Lisa Buie Collard, and Diedre Knight!
Today’s question: November is National Novel Writing Month. Have you ever participated? If not, why not?
We need hosts for December, January, and February!!! These are tough months so if you can help, we will be most grateful. If you have never co-hosted, please volunteer. It’s a lot more fun on the co-host side. Really! You get a ton more visitors, meet a lot of new people, and get to showcase yourself as a writer/author.

I've done Nano before. If I feel like it, it's not really that hard for me to write 50,000 words in a month. Most of the time I don't bother because I have my own stuff to do and don't really need the motivation. Some people do and that's fine.
I volunteer for February. Is there a sign-up form or anything?
I can host in January and February.
Lots of posts I need to read! If you're ever needing a co-host, I'd be happy to do it. I miss you guys!
I'm glad to encourage from the sidelines!
Hi Alex, I'll co-host for December if you tell me exactly what to do! Can't believe I've never volunteered before considering how valuable the whole thing has been for me.
This is such a great group :)
Alex, I have never participated in NaNo. 50K words is an overwhelming task to even consider currently. Hope to get there someday!
