Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!
Posting: The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer - aim for a dozen new people each time - and return comments. This group is all about connecting!
February 7 optional question - What do you love about the genre you write in most often?
The wonderful co-hosts for the February 7 posting of the IWSG are Stephen Tremp, Pat Garcia, Angela Wooldridge, Victoria Marie Lees, and Madeline Mora-Summonte!

The second #IWSGPIT was a huge success. #IWSGPIT became a trending topic throughout the day and we more than doubled the participation of the first one. 5100 tweets!
We'd like to thank everyone for making it our best pitch so far. Keep polishing those pitches for our next one in July!

Love the post Pat. I think the cover for the new anthology is fantastic.
Have a wonderful Wednesday.
Yvonne.
Glad the participation doubled for the Twitter pitch. And love the cover for the new anthology.
Seeing it all summed up like that - wow, we do have a lot going on!
Excellent post, Pat. Love to hear the latest news from IWSG. What a fabulous group.
That's awesome! Rock on, IWSG. :)
I'm hoping to have a pitch for the first book in my new series ready by July, but I'll have to write fast. Lots of great stuff here.
I don't know what I'd do without this group.
:)

Glad to get caught up on all the happenings. I just discovered the Writing for Proft book is out! Where have I been??? sheesh. Going to shout about it now. Thanks for offering this opportunity for writers to publish and to share helpful tips with fellow writers.

Looking forward to reading the new anthology. Great post.
The Instagram group is fun!
I'm giving a talk to a large group of writers next week, and my number one piece of advice to them is join the IWSG. The anthologies (great cover, BTW), the Twitter pitches, and all the rest (plus the lack of snark) make this the best group for writers I know. Very cool to see my quote there!
A lot always beats a little, mostly. Was fun to put it all as one.
Trying to get back into the swing of things and contribute to the IWSG monthly blog. Perhaps this means that I will also begin to write more in my personal life, since it's never too late for new beginnings! http://www.dianeweidenbenner.com/iwsg-what-do-you-love-about-the-genre-you-write-in-most-often/
Can't wait for the anthology.
Hi Joylene, I really need to get involved with this Facebook group. I post here and there but need to be more consistent.
Here's to a healthy ad prosperous 2018!
Awesome cover for the Anthology. Anticipating the release.
Love those testimonials from industry experts!
Great cover for the Tick Tock anthology!
Hooray for the new anthology!
Hi Pat - it's always good to read the comments of blogging friends and ISWG pals ... the pitch sounds like it was good, while the anthology looks to be fascinating - cheers Hilary
I'm starting to consider writing an eBook but it won't be fictional for sure. Something about my journey of finding love perhaps as it's a long and crazy road.
Sounds as though there's a lot going on in that anthology!
Good luck to everyone involved in the next publishing. I'm sure it will be a smashing success!
