So I cheated a little on the resource for H, today. Literary Hub is a bit of a different site with lots of interesting content every day. If you write for the literary market, you will be especially interested in this one. The articles are interesting for any writer and readers as well.
If you want a different take on publishing, stop by and meet Hugh Howey, well known for his success as a self-published author. Most people have heard of his breakout book, Wool. He shares his story and why he support self-publishing. He admits his bias against the Big 5.
“After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the thing we need most in the world.”
― Philip Pullman
“Substitute 'damn' every time you're inclined to write 'very;' your editor will delete it and the writing will be just as it should be.”
― Mark Twain
Have you read Wool? Do you frequent Lit Hub?

Will check out Literary Hub. I did follow Howey for a while.
Good ones to look at by the sounds of it indeed.
They have a long list pf partners.
I haven't seen Lit. Hub, but I'll take a look.
I've never heard of this one. Thanks for the tip!
Well, Susan and Kelly, I feel silly. I haven't read 'Wool' and never heard (I think) of the Literary Hub. Checking them both out! This is a fine "H" post!

I never realized the writing universe was so big until I started studying. Before this, I would have told you I was well read. Now I can only say there is so much out there. Two new things, thanks Susan.
Literary Hub is a new one for me.
I read The Plagiarist by Hugh Howey...amazing concept.
point noted, thanks
This is such a great A-Z series. I hadn't heard of Literary Hub. Thanks!
I'll also have to check out Literary Hub! It's sure to have a wealth of information!

I love this. First time I have seen it.

Now would that not be a hoot to actually do it.
Thanks for the links.

I will check out both parties you mention here. Another H-author who has self-published is Amanda Hocking. She's a great writer.
I'm a big fan of Howey both as a writer and as the champion of indie authors. I have read and enjoyed Wool. He's doing some amazing stuff with his numbers reports and data analysis. It's one thing to posit opinions on trad pub, but he backs it up with facts.
Terrific tips! I'll be checking it out as well as employing that surefire remedy for use of the word 'very' ;-)
I used to read a lot of what Hugh Howey has to say about the industry, good to remind me to go back :) he really has interesting info to share with the writing world.
Sadly, no to both questions. I need more hours in a day. I'm late, but I will check Lit out. Thanks, Susan.
